Alfred enjoyed celebrating his 81st birthday surrounded by family before passing Saturday, December 10, 2016.
He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Rita (Civitillo) Gibbardo; children, Greg (Fausta) Gibbardo and their children, Anthony, Juliana, Angelina; Marisa (Daryl) Dana and their children, Brian, Amy, Julie, Kevin; David (Linda) Gibbardo and their son, Alfredo "AJ"; sisters, Mary and Antoinetta and their daughters in Italy; sistersin-law, Lillian and Fina and their daughters; many cherished family and friends. Alfred is now joining his brothers, Tony and Fulvio Gibbardo; and nephew, Michael.
Alfred was one of the original members of the Italian American Sports Club.
Family will receive friends 3-7 PM Thursday, December 15, 2016 at New Comer Funeral Home, 2636 Ridgeway Ave. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 9:30 AM Friday, December 16, 2016 at Holy Apostles Church, 530 Lyell Ave., Rochester. Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
