Irondequoit/Greece: Mary Esther Clark Izzo, 83, died peacefully on March 1, 2017. Predeceased by sisters Gwynn Cooney, and Katy Lewis and grandson, Andrew Izzo.
Survived by sons, James (Robin), Joseph (Rebecca), John (Kathy) and Charles (Lisa); grandchildren Clarissa, Keenan, Alex, Rebecca, Kaleigh, Austin, Cody, Sophie and Emilie; great-grandchildren Kate, Audrey & Christian; sister Margy (Brophy); and several nieces & nephews.
Mary was known for her sweetness, compassion, and unfailing efforts to help those around her. She was devoted to Joe through the good and bad times and did a heroic job caring for him in his final years. She embraced her roles as mother, aunt, sister and friend. She loved gardening, canning, singing with friends and providing a fantastic meal, for family or for the whole neighborhood. Mary was adored by all of those who experienced her kindness. She also never forgot the kindness and goodness of others.

A Funeral Mass will be held Monday, March 6 at 9:00 AM at Holy Cross Church, 4492 Lake Ave., Rochester, NY. Please gather in the Parish Center at 8:00 AM for coffee and hugs. Interment at Our Lady of the Lakes, Penn Yann, NY.
