Passed away on, July 25th, 2017 at the age of 81.
Predeceased by his mother, Veronica Gabbert, father, Aubrey Gabbert, and brother, Charles Gabbert. He is survived by his loving wife, Carole Mathews-Mistal-Gabbert, children, Michael (Tina) Gabbert, Dan Gabbert, Linda (John) Landwehr, Lisa (Michael) Horstmann; step-children Karen Waldron, Alan (MaryJo) Mistal, Diane Friedman, Linda (Hans Merritt) Hermans, several grandchildren and great grandchildren, sisters Anna (Bill) Michael and Susan Henry along with many nieces, nephews and cousins. When tomorrow starts without me, don't think we're far apart, for every time you think of me, I'm right here in your heart. Family will receive friends from 3PM - 6PM, followed by a service at 6PM on Sunday July 30th, 2017 at New Comer Funeral Home, 2636 Ridgeway Avenue. Contributions may be made to, St. Jude Children's Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place Memphis, TN 38105.
