Survived by his loving wife: Sharon Wright. Daughter; Erika Wright, Son; Royce Wright. Mother in law; Vivian Michel. Sister in law; Diana Farrell. Sisters; Janet Wright, Irene Radcliff. Brother; Benjamin (Essie) Wright. Family friend; Pamela Washington. Many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
John's life was dedicated to politics. He worked for the Monroe County Legislature and the Office of Senator Joseph Robach. After his retirement he became a member and advocator for the Frederick Douglass Foundation. He was a great fisherman and an avid Buffalo Bills and NASCAR racing fan. John was a loving husband and father. His personality was magnetic and he naturally made friends everywhere he went. He will be missed by the many that knew and loved him.
Friends may call 4-6 pm Thursday July 25, 2019 at Newcomer Cremations and Funerals, 2636 Ridgeway Ave. (corner of Long Pond Rd.) Funeral services will follow visitation at 6pm. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family
