Cheryl Ann Johnson

Cheryl (LaCross) Johnson, passed peacefully with family and friends by her side, on Saturday, November 30, 2019 at the age of 60 after a long , courageous battle with cancer. Cheryl was predeceased by her father, Joseph Roland LaCross and sister, Michelle Duchins. Survived by her mother Lorraine Dubois LaCross; her brother, Michael LaCross; her wonderful children, Angela Lowe, Robert Johnson, and Kimberly (Bradley) Knight; several cousins, nieces, nephews, and beloved friends. She is also survived by her best friend whom she referred to as her "adopted Sister", Kelly Gormel and family and her pride and Joy, her only grandson, Reid. Reid brought more joy to her life than words could express.

Cheryl will be remembered for her passion for the early education of children, her love of the Miami Dolphins, but mainly for her love of life. She was always up for a good game of cards, which she could be found playing most Friday and Saturday evenings. She was blessed with family members and friends that gave her love and support throughout her life. Cheryl will be deeply missed by all who were blessed enough to know her.

Friends and family may be received, December 4, 2019 from 4-8pm at Newcomer Cremations & Funerals, ( 2636 Ridgeway Avenue Rochester, NY 14626)

A funeral Mass will be held December 5, 2019 at 9:30 AM at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 3003 Dewey Avenue Rochester, NY 14616

Internment to follow at Falls Cemetery, Greece, NY.
