Rochester: Nazareth Academy '67; died April 15, 2021 at age 72; widow of Buddy Burleson; daughter of Mary and Edward Mooney. Also predeceased by brother Charles and nephew Brendan. Survived by siblings John (Renee) Mooney, Susan Hickey, Joe (Julie) Mooney, Michael (Kim) Mooney; nieces Meghan (Rich) Stewart, Kayla (Mike) Dinkmeyer, Sheena Mooney (Anna Calzone), nephew Christopher Hickey (Bethany Suggs); by 5 great-nephews & 1 great-niece; also 2 great-great nieces and their wonderful mothers. Others close to Mary Carolyn include Sara Conrad and Kevin Mooney, and the extended Burleson family, especially sister-in-law Judy Seltmann.
Mary Carolyn had a secretarial career that led her to Washington DC and Charleston SC. In retirement she volunteered for agencies that enhance the lives of older adults. She died suddenly after many years of dealing with a chronic illness.
