In Memory Of
Joseph D'Alessandro
1960 - 2022

Passed July 6, 2022 at the age of 62.

Predeceased by his parents, Carmine & Alessandra D'Alessandro & brother, Michael D'Alessandro.

Survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Donna; children, Gary (Jessica), Elissa, & Alex; brother, Salvatore (Kimberly); many nieces, nephews, other family, & friends.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Joe’s Wilmont Oncology team: Dr. Arpan Patel, Julie Rossignolo, & Charsie Simmons. To Dr. Rob Horowitz and the Palliative Care staff, and Joe’s home care nurse, Ro. Thank you for your kindness, wonderful care, and support for Joe and his family.

Joe loved his family and friends deeply. He was so excited to be a first time grandpa, with two grandchildren on the way (Gary & Jessica’s). He was a kind and hard-working man with a great sense of humor. He enjoyed sharing good food and a table with family and friends. He was a wonderful chef (in the kitchen, and on the grill), he loved golfing, playing Euchre, and watching the Buffalo Bills (win or lose).

You could often find him with his MP3 player (one headphone in) listening to music or sports and enjoying the view on the deck-that he built himself. There was no shortness of home improvement projects that he didn’t love creating and solving. He was a lover of Hallmark Christmas Movies, classic horror films, Indiana Jones, Star Wars, and Godzilla. Summers were spent attending the Rochester Jazz Fest, sitting around campfires, and helping his wife with the vegetable garden.

Joe had a strong will to live and wanted so badly to grow old with his wife, Donna.

In his professional life, Joe had his Masters in Architecture from the University at Buffalo. He worked at DeWolff Partnership Architects for many years, & most recently at the University of Rochester as the Assistant Director of Space Planning. He truly loved his work and the people he worked with.

Calling hours will be Saturday July 16, 2-5pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 6 Empire Blvd, Rochester, NY. Memorial Service and Burial will be at a later date, at the discretion of the family.

In lieu of flowers please consider donating in Joe's honor to Webster Volunteer Ambulance.
