Mark A. Young of Spencerport, New York, died unexpectedly on May 2, 2024. Mark is survived by his loving wife, Bridget Field, children Joshua, Christopher, and Kaileigh, Mother Carlene Gay (Gary), siblings Kelly Young (Jim Fallon), Teri McDonald (Trevor), Sherri Farrell (James), Debbie Moore (Greg), and Gary Gay (Traci), nieces and nephews, many extended family members, and friends considered to be family. He is preceded in death by his father, Harry Young,
Mark grew up in Hilton, New York. After graduating from Oswego, he attended the John Marshall Law School. This began his 35 year love affair with the law. He will be remembered for his advocacy and compassion. Mark was a devoted father and he loved nothing more than his children However, his love of gems and minerals was a close second. Soccer, lacrosse, track, skiing, motocross, football, cheerleading, dance and band concerts – If his children loved it, so did Mark. An avid hunter, he was thrilled when Christopher and Kaileigh joined him for bow and gun season. Mark proudly served on the Spencerport School Board, the Ogden Conservation Board, and the Ogden Zoning Board.
Mark left an impression on everyone he met. His quick wit and infectious smile will be missed by many. He will be remembered for his zest for life and the love of his family, and friends.
Friends may call 3-7pm, Thursday May 9, 2024 at The Times Square Building main lobby, 45 Exchange Blvd. Rochester, NY 14614. On Saturday May 11, 2024, friends are invited to the family residence at 2pm, 48 Longbow Circle, Spencerport, NY for Mark's Celebration of Life.
