Greece: Friday, May 30, 2008, at age 86. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Martha Z.; children, James A. (Deborah) Thomson of VA, Jill M. Thomson of Rochester and Jeanne T. (Jeffrey) Ford of TX; grandchildren, Alexander C. and Lindsay M. Thomson, Kaitlyn E.; Sarah N. and Rebecca M. Ford; brother, Douglas (B.J.) Thomson; several nieces & nephews. Gordon was a United States Coast Guard World War II Veteran, serving in the Pacific Theatre of War and retired after 40 years of service from General Railway Signal.
No prior calling hours. Family & Friends are invited to celebrate his Memorial Service, Saturday, July 12th at 1:30 PM at Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 4115 Dewey Ave., Rochester, NY. In lieu of flowers contributions maybe made to USS LST Ship Memorial, 840 LST Drive, Evansville, Indiana 47713 or The Coast Guard Foundation, 394 Taugwonk Road, Stonington, CT 06378 in his memory.
