Of Rochester, NY entered into a peaceful sleep of rest on May 19, 2010 at the age of 91. He is survived by his wife of 57 years Jurdean Poole Forbes.
He is predeceased by his three sons Rodney, Wilton and George Forbes; two grandchildren, Kendrick and Tara Forbes; and one great grandchild Marcus Cole Jr. His memory will be forever cherished and treasured by his loving family. Maureen (Wilfred) Saunders, Fred (Delores) Forbes, Betty (Mace) Frederick, Nancy McDonald (Arthur) Stoler, Denise Forbes-Morrison, Sherman (Wanda) Anderson; Sidney (Ann) Forbes, Randell and Daniel Forbes, Son in law Mark Morrison and daughter in law Elizabeth Forbes, sister in laws Reverend Eliza Forbes and Minnie Forbes. Twenty-eight grandchildren, thirty-one great grandchildren, 10 great-great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Celebration of his life will be Friday May 28, 2010 at the Power House Kingdom Church of God in Christ, 48 Clifton Street Rochester, NY 14608 at 11 am, Bishop J. Melvin presiding. Viewing hours are Thursday May 27, 2010 from 6-8 pm at New Comer Funeral Home 6 Empire Boulevard, Rochester, NY 14609.
