Alexander Scott was born to Thomas and Mary Scott on January 2nd 1928 in Rochester New York. Alexander was the young age of 15 when he entered the U.S Navy, while in the Navy, he helped pay for his sisters' college tuition (Ollie and Jane Scott). After serving his full term in the Navy, he returned to Rochester, New York where he met Katherine Dabney, it was love at first sight. On February 22, 1948 they joined union, starting the Scott Legacy. On January 1st 1949 , they welcomed their first child , they then continued to grow their family having 9 children, staying married for 74 years.
Alexander worked as a Foreman for Pfaudler Inc for 52 years. Dad as everyone knew him, was a neighborhood father. He was the Patriarch of Bartlett street. From Columbia street to Jefferson Ave, you could hear his roar. When he called for his children, extra kids would follow. He was respected by everyone who crossed his path. Over the years Alexander did countless acts of service within the community. He was a Boy Scout Troop Leader and kept his mentoring behaviors coaching his first born son & the Bartlett Street boys through the military. As the years continued, he was always Dad, he loved and protected his family. Dad was an old fashioned father and continued that persona for 93 years. Dad loved his animals and watching the news; he always had to have the remote control by his side. Sitting in favorite chair with a tall glass of ice water and his dogs was a great day for Dad. He often bragged about being the only male in the family with a full head of hair. Dad in his "Golden Years" kept himself active and healthy doing activities such as bowling and the gun club. Dad volunteered at Edison Tech as a Welding Teacher, he decided to retire in 2000 after working as a security guard at RG&E.
Alexander was predeceased by his siblings: Mildred Bagwell, Francis Olivia, Orie Brown, Jane Cunningham, Eugene, Thomas, and Ollie Scott; also by his two daughters Alexis and Sidney Scott, and Grandson Dennis Lee Harrison "Gooie"
