Passed Wednesday, April 11, 2007 at age 75 after a courageous battle with respiratory failure and Alzheimer's disease. Predeceased by his parents, Domenic and Diamanda DiGianto Nacci; 6 brothers. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Carole (Knaak); children, David (Diane) Nacci, Tamara Nacci, Deborah (John) Rowe, Shari Nacci; adopted daughter, Danette Pellicano; daughter-in-law, Mary (Mercurio) Nacci; grandchildren, Michael (Heather) Gunkel, Jr., Janevra (fiance, Scott Faticone)Gunkel, Nicole Mercurio, Neil Cote, Vincent Pellicano, Andrew Nacci, Brianna Naccci, Angelique Nacci; great-grandchildren, Elizabeth and Michael G. Gunkel III, Anthony Pellicano; brothers, Salvatore (Lillian) & Joe (Lucy) Nacci both of Rhode Island; many nieces and nephews. He was also predeceased by his faithful companions, Whiskey, Coco and Silver.
Al served in the Army and Army Reserves for 22 years. He loved working outside in the yard and was an avid Bingo and Lottery player who often won. Al enjoyed spending time with his family.
Special thanks to the doctors and nurses at Highland Hospital for their support and care of our beloved father.
Family and friends may call Monday, April 16th 11 A.M.-1 P.M. at the New Comer Family Funeral Home, 2636 Ridgeway Ave, where his Funeral Service will follow the calling hours at 1 P.M. Interment in Holy Angels Cemetery, Scottsville, NY. Contributions may be made to Camp Good Days and Special Times.
