Alfreda Lucille Burkovich
Rochester: Passed away peacefully on October 6, 2018 at the age of 90. Predeceased by her parents Chester Levern and Cleta Elizabeth Salada; husbands, Phillip J. Schwartz and James C. Burkovich Sr.; siblings, Rachel Luckenbach and Raymond Salada; sons-in- laws, Gary W. Whybra and Ted C. Smith.
She is survived by her loving children, Walter (Rossann) Schwartz, Phillip (Annette) Schwartz, Susan Whybra, Linda Smith, Margaret (Howard) Schwartz, Amy (Manfred) Lichti and Jim (Tracy) Burkovich; 16 grandchildren and 42 great-grandchildren along with many nieces and nephews.
Alfreda was a longtime member of John Knox Presbyterian who served as both an Elder and Deacon. She enjoyed bible study, gatherings of the Redwoods, church camping as well as volunteering where possible with FISH, annual turkey dinners, yard sale and the Strawberry social.
She was a longtime registered nurse at Rochester General retiring in 1989 at the age of 62. She enjoyed traveling across the country & Europe to visit her children, grand-children & great-grandchildren whenever possible.
Services will be held on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at 3PM at John Knox Presbyterian Church, 3233 W Ridge Rd, Rochester, NY 14626.
