Predeceased by his siblings, Daniel Sutton Jr., Raleigh Sutton, Nathaniel Sutton, Benny Miller, Bettye Laddymore, Henry Sutton, John Sutton, & Bernette Sutton.
Survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Nettie Mae Sutton; children, Alton Sutton Jr., Linda Ashford, Altonette Sutton, Gwendolyn (Bobby) Foster, Quentin (Pamela) Sutton, & Daniel (Sheila) Sutton; grandchildren, Deidra, Latoya, Latisha, Quentina, Alton, Charles, Catherine, Justin, Quentin, Shawntineek, Lorne, Daniel Jr., Mary-Carmen, Azaria, & Denzel; 24 great grandchildren; 7 great great grandchildren; siblings, Wilmer Sutton, Barbara Parker, & Patricia Sutton; many nieces & nephews; fishing friend, Bob Wise; golfing buddy, Reggie Johnson & Vince Pompa; & many other friends, & family.
Cigar was a caring & loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, & great great grandfather. He always wanted his way the right way. He was an avid golfer & fisherman. His only flight was for the Army, after he vowed to never fly again, & he didn't he would drive to any destination.
Visitation will be Friday January 26, 10-11:30am with services following at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church, 351 Joseph Avenue. Private burial at Riverside Cemetery
