Andrew Jack Neri Sr. passed away peacefully on Monday March 25, 2024. He's up in heaven with his mother and father, Rose and Dominic, and his daughter Melissa.
He was Rochester through-and-through. He was a city boy who graduated from Franklin high. He worked for Kodak. He owned his own contracting business, and has built houses, roofs, decks, additions and garages all over Rochester. He was a board member at Greece Community Baseball. He was a basketball referee.
He owned and operated a car dealership here in the Rochester area.
He coached all levels of baseball, including American Legion, winning many tournaments and trophies for Ferris-Goodrich post 330. He had a group of poker and euchre buddies that he would get together with regularly. He spent many trips down in Florida visiting his family, taking us to universal studios all the time, some of our best memories.
He could be dead serious and also the biggest jokester. He really enjoyed life, had fun any chance he could, and never missed an opportunity to poke fun at you, or himself. He was built like a tank, and often gave me and my brother all we could handle in sports.
He was a good man to everyone he came across. Don't waste an opportunity to hug and kiss your people. One day they won't be here.
Thank you for the love and support. Say a prayer for him, and for anyone you have lost.
No prior calling hours. A Celebration of life will be held at a later date. Andy didn't want everyone crying and grieving.
