Angelina Carson passed away peacefully on January 16, 2017 at the age of 92.
Predeceased by her husband, James (Jim) Carson, her mother, Dina Canovai, and her sister, Maria Cappuccini.
Survived by her daughters, Diane (Bart) Evans, Ellen (Linda) Carson-Llano, and her grandchildren, Lisa (Michael) Evans-Storey, and Marc Evans.
Angelina was born in Florence, Italy and lived there until she married her beloved Jim at the age of 23. They moved to his place of birth in Scotland, where they had two daughters and emigrated to New Jersey, U.S.A. as a family in 1956.
Angelina was a hard worker and worked in several factory jobs throughout the years. She ended her career working in quality assurance at Kodak in Rochester, N.Y.
Angelina had a big heart of gold and was dearly loved by family and friends. She was passionate in her opinions and beliefs, loved animals, loved to laugh, loved reading the "Scottish Banner", was described as feisty, and often wanting to clean everything "her way". She had a lovely singing voice and was always singing along with Italian songs. She loved listening to Pavarotti, Andrea Bocelli, and the Canadian Tenors.
Family and friends will miss her dearly, but we all take comfort in knowing that she has gone to a better place and that she has been greeted by her loved ones there.
The family would like to thank the caregivers at Suncoast Mid Pinellas Hospice Center in Pinellas Park, Florida for their compassion and the wonderful care that they provided.
Viewing will take place at the Newcomer Funeral Home, 2636 Ridgeway Ave. Rochester, N.Y. on Monday, January 23rd from 11:00 to 1:00. Funeral service will follow in the same location at 1:00.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Angelina's favorite charity, the St. Jude Children's Center.
