Anna Hirsch, 86, passed away peacefully on June 6, 2023, surrounded by family and loved ones.
Anna had a long and fulfilled life, moving from Austria to the United States in 1968.
One of the biggest joys in Anna's life were her four grandchildren. She tried not to miss a Basketball game, Volleyball game, Baseball game, Cross Country meet, etc. She would cheer for each of them, claiming they were always the winners, even though most of the time she did not understand the rules.
Anna especially loved cooking for her family, including schnitzel, apple strudel, cucumber salad, and heart-shaped waffles for her grandchildren.
Anna is survived by her husband of 62 years, Fritz, and her daughter Gaby (John). Anna was better known as Omi to her grandchildren, Jessica (Tim), John III, Becky (Michael), Lizzie (Max), and great-grandchildren, Theo and Finn.
Anna will be buried in a private ceremony. An open house to celebrate Anna's life will be held Monday, June 12th from 3:00-7:00pm at John and Gaby's house.
