Surrounded by family, Sharon made peace with the Lord Monday evening, March 8th, after 72 wonderful years of life. She was a gentle soul, she was kind, she was brave, she was small but only in stature because boy was her spirit mighty. Her strength was unparalleled, as was her whit. Sharon was a proud retiree of the Monroe County Department of Social Services where she worked for many years as a social worker. She was also a huge animal lover, including her 3 dogs; Mugsy, Darla & Haven. She was the worlds best pageant "grandmom" & the loudest fan in the stands at all her babies games & competitions. Words could never express how much she is loved or the amount of happiness she brought into this world, one that will never quite be the same without her in it.

The family would like to thank Dr. Matthew Fleig for the many years he dedicated to the care of Sharon. They would also like to extend their gratitude to the doctors & nurses at Rochester General Hospital as well as St. Ann's Community Hospice; the level of compassion & professionalism provided in Sharon's final days will not be forgotten.

Calling hours will be held Monday, March 15th from 4 p.m to 7 p.m at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 2636 Ridgeway Avenue, Rochester NY 14626.
