Antonia Vazquez Alicea de Vazquez, born in Guayama, Puerto Rico, June 13, 1934, ascended to heaven on February 9, 2020. She was 85 years of age.
Everyone who met Antonia knew her special kindness, generosity, humility, devotion to God, and creativity. She touched the lives of so many with her songs, service, ministry, cooking, good cheer, kind words and art.
Antonia was predeceased by husband Rafael Vazquez Figueroa; father, Luis Vazquez Vega; mother, Dolores Alicea; brothers, Miguel Angel Vazquez and Julio Vazquez; sister, Paulina Santiago. She is survived by sisters, Barbara Murray and Felicidad Vazquez; as well as by her children and their spouses/partners; Nelida Houlihan, Maria Vazquez (Johnnie Figueroa), Antonia Scott (Daniel Scott), Gerardo Vazquez (Regina Egan), Rafaela Vazquez-Kianka (Christopher Kianka), Julio Vazquez (Iris Genaro), and Migdalia Drury (Jeffery Drury); 16 grand children, 37 great grand children.
