Passed away peacefully Sunday September 8, 2019 at age 83. Predeceased by his wife, Mary Eleanor, brother, Don (Rita) Ames and sister, Shirley (Howard) Nelson. He is survived by his long time companion Joann Mayo, children: Lisa (James) Lavender, Laurie Sprague (Bill Phillips), Jonathan (Marie) Ames, Andrea Ames, grandchildren; Arnie, Jessica, Christa, Robert, Joshua, Samantha, Zachary, Elise, Jamie, Jenna, Jaida, 15 great grandchildren, sisters; Jeannie (Bob) Ryner, Frances (Al) Rogers and nieces and nephews.
Arthur was a United States Army Veteran who proudly served his country during the Korean War.
The family will receive friends Friday, September 13th from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at New Comer Cremations and Funerals 2636 Ridgeway Avenue.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the Humane Society at Lollypop Farm, 99 Victor Road Fairport NY 14450 or to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place Memphis Tennessee 38105 .
