Saturday, February 3, 2007, after a courageous battle with cancer and heart problems. Survived by his wife, Virginia; children, Kellie(Chuck) Taddicken of Loveland, CO, David(Jean) LaDolce, Rochester, NY, Steve(Eileen) LaDolce of Dade City, FL., Myrna(Fred) Lloyd, Rochester, NY; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; Predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Anna LoDolce. Also survived by brothers, Rusty(Paulette) LoDolce, Robert(Sandy) LaDolce, Joseph LoDolce, Frank(Patty) LoDolce, Gary(Sandy) LoDolce; sisters, Joanne Amico, Roz(Joseph) Ognissanti and Debbie Bauer.
Gus was retired from the U.S. Army as a Sergeant First Class, where he served in the 187th Airborne Unit during the Korean War, and was also in the U.S.Army Reserve. He was retired from the Eastman Kodak Company.
The family is appreciative of the care provided by Dr. Michael Myers, the hospice staff of St. Mary's, as well as the staff and may volunteers of the Journey Home facility.
Family and friends may call Tuesday, 2 to 6 PM at the New Comer Family Funeral Home, 2636 Ridgeway Avenue where his Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, at 10 AM. Interment in White Haven Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Journey Home, 994 Long Pond Road, Rochester, and New York 14626 in his memory.
