Barbara Jean McAllister Williams was born in Orlando Florida on 17 May 1939. She also lived in Jacksonville, Florida, Schenectady and Rochester, New York. Miss Barbara as she was fondly called, was Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Aunt, Sister and Sister in Law. Mother was also a friend and neighbor, who loved and cared for everyone she met. She was a strong force to be reckoned with and was able to calmly and gently solve any problem brought before her. Mother never complained and always sought to help anyone in need. She was a constant source of love and comfort to us. Miss Barbara had a wonderful sense of humor which would keep us laughing for hours on end.
Later in life, an illness took its toll on her health but it could never end her inner kindness, or love for her children, family, neighbor and stranger alike. But she was still Momma to those who knew her best, giving you a great big hug as only she could. She loved life and she lived life to the fullest. We are truly heartbroken by this sudden loss of our lovely Mother and neighbor. But we know that GOD in His infinite wisdom, has called our precious Mother home. So, now we mourn and also reflect on this beautiful light now extinguished. But a light that will forever live within and among us.
Mother is survived and loved by her children, Frederick, Raymond, Cheryl, Priscilla, Sandra, and Felecia. As well as her sister,Glenda Thomas, her brother, Sonny McFarland and a host of Grandchildren, Great-Grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed. Love you Momma.
