Barbara Jean Plante

Passed away on March 10, 2025 at the age of 78.

Born in Canandaigua, NY, on October 28, 1946 to Norman Hickson & Grace Shaner Hickson, which both predeceased. She is also predeceased by her two brothers Richard and Dale.

Barbara retired after 27 plus years with Mobil Chemical - Pactiv. A volunteer with Ontario County office of Aging, she received the senior citizen of the year award in 2013.

She is survived by her daughters, Laurie Barkley of Fairport and Melody Hickson, of Wisconsin; son, Scott (Sherri) Hickson of Shortsville; sister, Dawn Hickson of Webster; brother, Bill Hickson of Palmyra; grandchildren, Cody Barkley, Brianna Brown (Jon Keech), Megan (Tim) Vendel, Aaron (Alexandra) Hickson, Katelyn Hickson, Blaze Hickson; great grandchildren, Brystol, Timothy, Robbie, Brian, Cooper, Kailani: nieces, Melissa Wallis & Michelle Cline.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
