Barbara passed peacefully going home to be with the Lord.
Predeceased by her parents; Roger and Catherine Williams. Sister; Kay.
Survived by several nieces and nephews. Her companion of 50 years; Nora Anne Shirley. The Shirley, Bishop, and the Lyke Family of Ill.
Barbara was a Sister of Mercy for 27 years. She taught in The Catholic Diocese of Rochester Parochial School system for 50 years. During that time, she was the principal of St. Charles Borromeo School in Greece, NY. After retirement, she volunteered for the Sisters of Notre Dame Learning System in downtown Rochester. She won the ESL Jefferson Award for Volunteerism. She will be missed by many that knew her.
Friends may call 4-7pm Wednesday November 4, 2020 at New Comer Cremations and Funerals, 2636 Ridgeway Ave. (west of Long Pond Rd.) Friends may meet Thursday morning at 11:00 am for Mass of Christian Burial at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 3003 Dewey Ave. Rochester, NY 14616. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, friends may contribute to The Sister's of Notre Dame Learning Center in memory of Barbara.
