Barbette S. Leavens
June 2, 1926 — January 20, 2024
Barbette S. Leavens, known to her friends and family as Bobbie, passed away Saturday January 20, 2024, at age 97.
Bobbie was a graduate of RIT with a concentration in the fine arts. She loved dancing, golf, painting, crossword puzzles and reading. She volunteered at several places including Penfield Library and RMSC.
She was predeceased by her husband of 72 years, Carl F. Leavens and her daughter Patricia A. Bauman.
She is survived by her daughter Ellen J. Parsons, son-in-law Richard B. Parsons, son Stuart C. Leavens, daughter-in-law Linda M. Glover, son-in-law John Bauman her three grandsons Matthew Parsons (Jennifer), Timothy Parsons (Katelyn) and Daniel Parsons (Alexandra) and six great-grandchildren.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to her caregivers at Ewing Continuing Care Center, Canandaigua, for the excellent care given to her these past four years.
There will be a private graveside service for family in the spring.
