Rochester: Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at age 81. Predeceased by his mother, Jennie (Sortino) Ross; fathers, Joseph Sortino and Charles Ross. He is survived by his loving children, Benny W. (Christine) Sortino, Jr., Kristine (William) Bovee, Charles R. Sortino, Roxanne (David) Kupka; grandchildren, Marchelle (Tyler) Hoffman, Corine Ryan, Benny W. Sortino III, Kolton Kupka, Wendy (Frank) Arena, Yvonne Bovee, Andrew Chatfield and Emily Chatfield; 10 great-grandchildren; sisters, Kay S. Brenna and Nancy (Benny) Calcagno; aunt, Connie LaVilla; several nieces and nephews.
Benny was a Army Veteran.
Family and friends may call Saturday, October 9th, 9 AM - 12:30 PM at the New Comer Funeral Home, 2636 Ridgeway Ave., where his Funeral Service will follow the calling hours at 12:30 PM. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, consider donations to the Hildebrandt Hospice Center, 3111 Winton Road South, Rochester, NY 14623 or Grande'Ville Senior Living, 555 Maiden Lane, Rochester, NY 14626 in Benny's memory.
