Bernard "Bernie" Connors

Manhattan, NYC: Thursday, July 27, 2017 at the age of 93. Predeceased by his parents, William (Loretta) Rauber Connors Boff; brother, Donald (Rosemary) Connors; great-niece, Melissa Neri. He is survived by his spouse, Jeffrey Velucci of Manhattan; his dog, Ava; nieces and nephews, Mary Lou (William) Brown, Richard (Kirsten) Connors, Eileen (Michael) Knorr, David (Sherie) Connors, Christine (Timothy) Kelley, William (Helen) Connors; many cousins, greatnieces, nephews and dear friends.

Bernie served honorably in the US Navy WWII from 1943-1946, relocating to NYC where he enjoyed an illustrious career as a decorator and window dresser in the retail industry. Bernie touched many lives and will be missed by all. Family will receive friends 4-7 Thursday, August 3, 2017 at New Comer Funeral Home, 2636 Ridgeway Ave. (corner of Long Pond Rd.).

On Friday morning, August 4, 2017 at 11 AM friends may meet for his Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Cross Church in Charlotte. Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. US Naval Military Honors to follow. In lieu of flowers, friends wishing may make contributions to a charity of their choice in Bernie's memory
