Greece, NY: Passed quietly at home Monday, January 4, 2010 at age 80. Survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Thelma Bringley; 3 sons, Evan, Tom and Jim (Sandy) Bringley; 2 grandsons, Eric and Alex; several nieces and nephews. Bernie was predeceased by his brother, Robert Bringley and his sister, Judy Dilloway.
Bernie was a lifelong Rochester resident that graduated from Monroe High School and served in the US Army. Bernie retired from Xerox after 30 years of service, served on the Monroe Developmental Center's Parent Advisory Board and was an active parent and member of the Monroe County ARC community. Bernie was an avid sportsman.
Family and friends may call Saturday, January 9th, 1 to 4 PM at the New Comer Funeral Home, 2636 Ridgeway Avenue, where his Funeral Service will follow the calling hours at 4 PM. Private Interment. Memorial donations may be made to the ARC of Monroe County, 1000 Elmwood Avenue, Rochester, NY 14620 in Bernie's memory.
