Rochester: Passed Saturday, March 13th, 2010, at age 93 at the Isaiah House in Rochester. She was the beloved wife of the late William J. Walsh and Devoted mother of the late William J. Walsh. She is survived by loving brother Arthur L. Murray of FL, Jane and Jaqueline Murray both of Rochester, also predeceased by her brother James Murray and Lucy C. Murray.
Mrs. Walsh was born in Boston, MA, was raised in Dorchester, and educated in Boston schools, where she graduated from St. Gregory's High School. Bertha lived in Rochester for over the last 10 years, earlier living in Kingston, MA, for 20 years and previously living in Quincy, MA, for 25 years. She worked as a Sales Associate at the former Jordan Marsh Company at the South Shore Plaza in Braintree, MA, and retired in 1974.
Family will recieve friends at the Our Lady of the Americas Church, 80 Prince St., in Rochester on Monday, March 15th (TODAY) from 4-8 PM, where her Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday at 11 AM. Interment will take place at a later date with Graveside Services at Mount Wollaston Cemetery in Quincy, MA. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mrs. Walsh's memory may be made to the Our Lady of the Americas Church, 80 Prince St., Rochester, NY 14605.
