Irondequoit: Passed peacefully surrounded by loving family Sunday, January 22, 2017 at age 90. Predeceased by her husband, George H. Smith; and brother, Spencer L. Ayers.
She is survived by her children, Georgiana L. (Richard) Rosenbauer, Christine A. Smith, David L. (Bea) Smith, Kathryn E. (John) Keith, Donald G. (Kathleen) Smith, Douglas J. (Mary Anne) Smith; 15 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Zetta Ayers Thomae; several nieces and nephews; and her faithful dog, Finnegan.
A Celebration of Betty's life will be held 11AM Friday, January 27, 2017 at All Seasons Chapel, White Haven Memorial Park, 210 Marsh Rd., Pittsford, NY 14534 followed by Interment and a reception.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Asbury First Methodist Church Memorial Fund.
