Suddenly on Tuesday, June 20, 2006 at age 80. He is survived by his devoted and loving wife of 52 years, Rose Rudyj; daughter, Katherine Rudyj-Coon; step-daughter, Rita McAvinney; grandchildren, Jasmine & Zachary Coon, George(Cheryl)McAvinney, Jane Madison; great grandchildren, Ashley, Emily & Olivia McAvinney, Edmond Madison; sister, Mary in the Ukraine, nieces, nephews and many friends. Bohdan was a member of the choir at St. Josaphats Church. He was retired from the County Parks Dept. and involved in many church events.
The family will receive friends on Friday, June 23 from 4-8PM at the New Comer Family Funeral Home, 6 Empire Blvd. where Pankhyda will be held at 7PM. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday at 10AM in St. Josaphats Church. Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Memorial contribution may be direct to St. Josaphats Church, 940 East Ridge Road, Rochester, NY 14621.
