January 25, 1961 — July 31, 2019
After a courageous battle with cancer.
Brackett is predeceased by his loving parents Robert and Dorothy "Dot" Brock.
He is survived by his sons, Nathan A and Connor F Brock, the "love of his life" Elizabeth "Betsy" Jane Peer, her sons Lucas and Tyler Hale, his sisters Patricia Rourke and Barbara (Patrick) Hurley. Nieces, Ashley Rourke (David Salamone) and Brooke Rourke, Kaylee (Jeffrey) Smith, Nephew Casey (Melissa) Hurley, great niece, Taylor Rourke and great nephew, Aiden Hurley. Very special Aunt and Uncle, "Foof" Ruth and Dick Roberts. He also leaves behind a lot of extended family and many wonderful, lifetime friends.
Brackett was an avid hunter his whole life. With the exception of his sons and Betsy, hunting was his biggest passion. He was a NY DEC Hunter Training Educator for more than 32 years, selflessly giving back to the sport he loved.
Brackett was an IT Engineer and will be missed by his co-workers at BOSCH Securities.
The family would like to thank Rochester General Hospital nurses and pct's who gave Brackett such wonderful care during his stay(s) there.
We would also like to thank JOURNEY HOME for the loving care they gave, not only to Brackett but family and friends as well.
Visitation for Brackett will be Saturday August 10th from 2pm-5pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 2636 Ridgeway Ave. with a prayer service immediately following.
Internment will be at the privacy of the family. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the JOURNEY HOME at, 994 Long Pond Road. Rochester NY 14626
