Brian J. Gridley

Rochester - Passed away on January 26, 2022 at the age of 88.

Predeceased by his parents, Jack & Dorothy Gridley; sister, Pamela Willsmore; sister-in-law, Kateryna Greene.

He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Halyna Gridley; children, Jason (Megan) Gridley, Sonya (Keith) Peterfreund, & Tatiana (Rob) Wallner; grandchildren, Jett, Gage, Trey, & Myles Peterfreund, Tyler & Chase Wallner; nieces & cousins in England.

Brian was an amazing man living through his 88th Birthday. He was always an active, caring, and loving husband, dad, papa, father-in-law, brother-in-law, and friend to many. He would have given you the shirt off his back if need be. He was a generous man who gave his whole heart to his family, always putting them first. We do know that Brian is now in a place above the sky and the clouds where he belongs.


Family will receive friends 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 2636 Ridgeway Avenue. His Divine Liturgy will be held at 10:00 am Thursday, February 3, 2022 at St. Mary The Protectress Ukrainian Autocephalous Orthodox Church, 3176 St Paul Blvd. Interment at Mt. Hope Cemetery, 1133 Mt. Hope Ave.
