Bryant Regene Glover, age 64, of Rochester, New York, peacefully passed away on December 31, 2024.
He was born on July 25, 1960, in Sanford, Florida to Oliver Glover Jr. and Ruth Glover. Bryant Glover grew up in Rochester, New York and attended James Madison High School and earned his NYS high school equivalency diploma. He later obtained a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) credential to operate various vehicles for business and commercial use. Bryant was an avid sports enthusiast. In his youth, he played Pop Warner football for the Tenth Ward Tigers football team, and he later played high school football at Madison High School. To pass his love for the game onto the next generation, Bryant obtained certification to coach football from the national USA Football organization. ‘Coach Bryant’, as he became known, went on to be an assistant coach for the Southwest Colts’ Pop Warner football team and played semi-professional football for the Rochester Renegades. Bryant later did what he loved most – driving, which made his time working as a heavy-duty municipal vehicle operator for the City of Rochester very enjoyable.
He is survived by his children, Brandon Patterson, Breonna Glover, Tempest Glover, Brytnee Glover, and Lauren Dexter; Grandsons Jahlil Gough and Derek Jackson Jr.; mother, Ruth Glover; siblings Oliver (Patricia) Glover III, Michelle (Jeff) Hammond, Elvie (Chandra) Glover; nephews William Wall, Jamone Alexander, Matthew Dillard; nieces Olivia Glover, Christiana Glover, Shanell Glover, Rashona Sullivan, Tiffany Reeves; great nieces, great nephews, cousins, and a host of relatives, extended family and close friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Oliver Glover Jr., and oldest brother, Elliott Jerome (Sharon) Glover.
