ROCHESTER-Calixto Ortiz, 70, peacefully passed away on Thursday, October 6, 2022 surrounded by the love of his family.
Cal was born in Orocovis, Puerto Rico on October 14, 1951 to the late Aurea and Rafael Ortiz. Cal service his country honorably in the United States Marine Corps. After his military service he went on to work for Eastman Kodak Co. He will be remembered for his love of spending time with his friends and family.
He is predeceased by his son, Christopher Ortiz, and his sister, Paula Rivera.
He is survived by his siblings, Juan (Liz) Ortiz, Leon (Terri) Ortiz, Mercedes Ortiz, Maria Ortiz, Jose Ortiz, and James (Kathy) Ortiz, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends.
Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 6 Empire Blvd. Rochester, NY 14609, on Friday, October 14, 2022 from 10am-12pm, with a service to immediately follow. Burial will be held at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Rochester, NY.
