ROCHESTER-Candida Hooks, 81, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend will be remembered with love long after her passing on August 21, 2021.
She was surrounded by loved ones who will strive to honour her memory by living their lives to the fullest as she would have wanted. Candida enjoyed the simple pleasures- shopping, spending time with family, cooking, and watching her telenovelas. Her passion in life was her grandchildren
Candida is predeceased by her husband, Willis Hooks Jr., her parents, Miguel and Rosa Vega, her siblings, Moises, Bonnie, Freddy, Iris, and Margie, and her great-grandson, Rafael.
Candida Hooks is survived by her children, Victor, Rosa, and Adelaida, her grandchildren, Willis, Rosanna, Luis, Christina, Candice, Kenneth, Chassity, Lakaya, and Silas, 19 great grandchildren, and many nieces & nephews.
A celebration of life will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 6 Empire Blvd, Rochester, NY on Saturday, September 18, 2021, at 10:00am, with a burial at Riverside Cemetery to follow.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Candida's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital
