West Irondequoit: Passed peacefully Thursday, February 5, 2009 at age 103. Predeceased by his wife, Gertrude (Yaeger) Bayer. He is survived by his children, Eileen Coyle, Robert (Bonnie) and William (Diane) Bayer; grandchildren, Cheryl (John) Fowler, Karen (Jonathan) Mercer, Kathie (Paul) Plane, Cindy Dollinger, Thomas (Lara) Coyle, Timothy (Teri) Coyle, Tami Bayer, Michael Bayer, Jim (Mary) Bayer, Linda (Peter) Lawrence, Jacquie (Harold) Freitas; 23 great grandchildren; 9 great great-grandchildren; brother, Andrew Baier, Germany; sister-in-law, Ruth Yaeger; many nieces, nephews and dear friends. Carl was a member of the St. Margaret Mary's Men's Club.
There will be no prior calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 AM Friday, February 27, 2009 at St. Margaret Mary's Church, 401 Rogers Parkway, Rochester, NY 14617. Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Unity Health Foundation (Park Ridge Living Center), 1555 Long Pond Rd., Rochester, NY 14626.
