Survived by his loving Wife; Lilia C. Santiago. Daughters; Gisela (Ken) Cooke, Mary Korda, Dalys (Michael) Zappia.
Sisters; Olga and Carmen in Puerto Rico. Seven Grandchildren; Tara, Shannon, Devon, Christopher, Dominique, Marcus, Nicholas.
Two Great Grandchildren, Selena, Quinton. Many nieces and nephews. Many dear friends.
Carlos immigrated to the United States with less than two dollars in his pocket. He served the US Navy from 1951 to 1955 during the Korean War and was stationed on the USS Sage. After his honorable discharge, he settled in Rochester, NY and married the love of his life, Lilia, married for 41 beautiful years. Carlos was a hard working employee, retiring from Eastman Kodak. He was enjoying his retirement with his loving family and many dear friends.
To know him was to love him. Carlos never met a person that did not like or remember him for his kindness and his generous ways. He was known as the patriarch of the family and everyone's "Uncle Carlos". Carlos might have started with very little but he left this life with everything!
Family will receive friends Saturday morning, 9:30am at St. Theodore's Church, 168 Spencerport Rd, Rochester, NY 14606,
for his mass of Christian Burial. Interment Mt. Hope Cemetery. Full military honors by the United States Navy following committal prayers.
