Cecilia "Cil" Bonomini Catalano, 74, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at Strong Memorial Hospital. She entered into eternal rest on Feb 14, 2018, Ash Wednesday/Valentines Day, which is symbolic of her big loving heart. A native of Pa., she was a long time resident of Rochester.
Cil is survived by her devoted husband of 52 years, Albert Catalano. Also survived by her 4 loving children; son, Albert Catalano Jr. of Rochester; daughter, Gina Carley; daughter, Annette (Jon) Olson of Baton Rouge, La.; son, Matthew Catalano of Rochester. She leaves behind 7 grandchildren, Christopher, McKenna, Megan, Charla, Ambria, Crystal, and Noah.
Also survived by her sister Jeannette (James)Catalano of Pa.; brother, Walter Bonomini; brother, Joseph Bonomini; sister, Mary (Michael) Chandler; sister, Margaret Bonomini, all of Ohio; brother, Michael Bonomini of Ga.; and several nieces and nephews.
Cil was preceded in death by parents Mary & Joseph Bonomini and sister, Patricia (Michael) Stewart.
Born on March 29, 1943 in Seminole Pa.; Cil & Al relocated to Rochester, NY in 1966. She worked as a secretary before becoming a stay home mother to her 4 beloved children. She later on worked at McCurdys Dept. Store.
She loved her family,flowers,food & had a deep faith in God. Cil was an avid gardener and knew the names of tons of flowers.She enjoyed plays, movies, and Lawrence Welk shows. Cil was a long time parishioner of Sts. Peter & Paul Church, where she volunteered and served on the parish council. She later became a parishioner at St. Augustine Catholic Church, participating in Bible study groups and activities through St. Monica Church.

Special thanks to chaplain Patty who appeared like an angel whenever our family needed her and gave Cil her final ashes.

Visitation will be held at St. Monica Catholic Church, 34 Monica St. (at Genesee) on Saturday, July 7, 2018 from 10 am to 11 am. Immediately following will be a Memorial Mass at 11 am with Rev. Raymond Fleming officiating.
