Rochester: Joined his wife, Sophie, in Heaven, Saturday, December 12, 2009, at age 91. He is survived by his daughters, Charlene Bowen, Mary Ellen (Paul) Goverts; grandchildren, Paul (Claire) Goverts, Kevin Bowen, Melanie Bowen, Heather Goverts; and many nieces and nephews. Charles was a United States Army veteran serving during WWII in the Pacific Theatre.
Charles' family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the staff of Kirkhaven Nursing Home for their wonderful care.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, Dec. 16th from 4-7 PM at New Comer Funeral Home, 6 Empire Blvd. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday at 10 AM at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, 1124 Hudson Ave. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Alzheimer's Association, 435 E. Henrietta Rd., Rochester, NY 14620.
