Greece: Died peacefully, Sunday, June 29, 2008 at age 86 with his famly at his side. Predeceased by his mother, Francesca; father, Carlo; sister, Anna; brothers, Joseph, Dominick, and Frank. Survived by his loving and devoted wife of 64 years, Madeline; children, Connie (Bill) Gerber, William (Barbara), Diana (William) Forrester, Carol (Richard) Gerber, Janice and fiance, Fred Famiano, Helen (Alan) Codd; grandchildren, Lisa (Fred) Stringer, Chad (Lauren) Gerber, Amy (Steve) Buchanan, Craig (Mariann) Gerber, Melissa (Chris) Jacobs, Melanie (John) Cottone, Keith Ferrigno, Brian Ferrigno, Christopher, Matthew, Ryan Codd, Amelia Forrester and fiance Scotty; 14 great-grandchildren; sister, Rose Zollo; sisters in law, Frances Boccacci, Patricia (Joseph) Sciortino, Rita Senelli, Maryann LaRosa along with several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 2nd from 3-7 PM at the New Comer Funeral Home, 2636 Ridgeway Ave. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday at 11 AM at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 3003 Dewey Ave. Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to Hospice of Rochester, Lifetime Care, 3111 Winton Rd. South, Rochester, NY 14623.
