On Sunday, September 11, 2005 at age 90. He was predeceased by his sisters, Lillian Murphy, Anne Lighthouse, and Edythe VanAllen. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Rose. Loving father to Charles (Susan), Janice Vecchio, and Judy (Mike) Chacinski. Brother to Mary (Frank) Pizzo. Beloved grandfather to Jodie(Gary), Benjamin, Lara, Christopher(Allison), Melissa, Michael, Zachary & Jakob; many nieces & nephews. He was a U.S. Army veteran, proudly serving in Africa during WWII. He will be remembered for his love of the outdoors and his wonderful sense of humor.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 14th from 2-4 & 7-9 at the New Comer Family Funeral Home, 6 Empire Blvd., where military honors will be held at 8 PM. Interment, private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation in his name.
