Chester A. Burrs

Predeceased by his siblings, Jackie, David, Ann and Paul. Special mother-in-law, Joyce Newsom "Nana"; son-in-law, Michael Zazzara.

Chester was born in St Marys, PA and served in the United States Army. He moved to Rochester, NY in 1965 where he met the love of his life Barbara whom he was married to for over 52 years. He retired from Delco automotive after 31 years of dedicated work. He then started his second career at Mann’s jewelers working there for the next 18 years. During this time, he traveled the world with Barbara. 

Chester was known for his love of the Buffalo Bills and travel. He was able to drive his family cross country several time’s while enjoying his varying RV’s and the open road.

He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara; daughters, Rebecca (Tommy) Gordon and Sabrina Zazzara (Bobby Henry); grandchildren, Hayden, Max and Mila who lovingly referred to Chester as "Obb"; sister, Carol. 

Family will receive friends Friday, September 27th from 4-6PM at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 2636 Ridgeway Avenue.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Tunnel to Towers in Chester's memory.
