Clarence Williams' life was favored by Almighty GOD. Born of working class parents who had
lofty aspirations for their two sons, Clarence was a hard-working, disciplined, individual whose
life was highlighted by his grit, determination, perseverance and resilience. Clarence began
working at age 6 when he and his brother passed out specialty advertising matches after school
for White Star Cleaners where their parents worked. He and his brother cut yards, and performed
chores for neighbors for spending money. His work ethic came directly from his parents. He
would work his High School career at neighborhood grocery stores and sundries. He landed a job
as a Postal Assistant while in College in 1967and worked for the USPS until he moved to
Rochester, NY in 1970.
Clarence fervently believed that, "FATHERHOOD MATTERS." He devoted much of his life to
assure that Travis Michael Williams would have greater opportunities for achievement than his
generation did. Travis' development became the most important matter in his life.
