ROCHESTER- Clifton J. Olivier Sr., 91, passed away on Friday, August 21, 2020.
Cliff was born in Jeannerette, LA on July 15, 1929 to the late Amade and Virginia Olivier. Cliff served his country honorably in the United States Army during the Korean War. After his service he went on to marry the love of his life, Frances. They have been married for over 65 years. Together they raised three children. He was loyal employee for Monroe County Airport until his retirement in 1979. Cliff will be remembered for his love of bowling, baseball (especially the New York Yankees), and having a beer with his friends. His passion in life was his family.
Cliff is predeceased by his 14 brothers and sisters.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Frances, his children, Sonia (Sir Lawrence) Watson, Lisa (Steven Warney) Olivier, Clifton (Jacquelyn) Olivier, his 14 grandchildren, his son-in-law, Timothy Wheatley, and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 2636 Ridgeway Ave., Rochester, NY 14626, on Thursday, August 27, 2020 from 4:00pm-7:00pm.
The family would like to thank Lorraine Rollins, Christine McCaffrey, Jazmine Weiford, and Janet Echevarria for all the care and compassion they gave to Clifton over the years.
