Rochester: September 10, 2008 at age 73. Predeceased by parents, brothers, sisters and former spouse. He is survived by his son, Jose Renee Ortiz; daughters, Noemi Johnson, Edna M. Ortiz, Rosa M. Cruz, Yolanda Nunez, Ester Ortiz, Maria L. Livingston, Nancy Ortiz, Ana C. Ortiz and his wife of 34 years, Ana D. Ortiz; 12 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; brother Luis Torres; many nieces, nephews and special friends. He was a U.S. Army Korean War Veteran, Domino Champ and a generous and humble man. He was also a member of the Centro de Oro at I.B.E.R.O.
Family and friends may attend calling hours 4-9 PM Sunday at New Comer Funeral Home, 6 Empire Blvd. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 AM Monday at Our Lady of the Americas Parish at Corpus Christi Church, 864 E. Main St. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Isaiah House, 71 Prince St., Rochester, NY 14605.
