Cornelia "Baaten" Voogt

Predeceased by her husband Franciscus Voogt.
Our Mom Corry was October 4, 1927. Her given name was Cornelia Baaten. She was the youngest of 10 children and the only member left. She is 93 years old.
She was born in Alphen, The Netherlands. As a teenager lived through World War II. She went to school and learned to teach sewing. Corry was an excellent seamstress. Making beautiful clothes for herself and two daughters.
In 1949 she married Franciscus (Frans) Voogt. They were married for 71 years! Dad passed away on August 21, 2020. He was 96 years old. In 1957 the family moved to Rome, NY. Mom followed dad on his many job transfers (he was known as "the gypsy") to Poughkeepsie, NY; Warwick, RI; Rochester, NY; Buffalo, NY ; Birmingham Ala: and finally in 1991 they retired to Venice FL.
Mom worked for Singer Sewing Company in Rome, NY & Poughkeepsie, NY. Then the family moved to RI and she worked for Singer Sewing Co. in Providence, Cranston and Warwick. She taught sewing at the stores.
Mom and Dad traveled the world. They loved to ski and played golf for many years. They had a wonderful retirement together, playing cards and they were in a group of social ball room dancers. We took many wonderful cruises with them on Holland America.
Corry is survived by daughters; Marion (Peter) Bartkiewicz, Adriana (Robert) Garrie. Grandchildren; Peter (Franca), Kimberly (Steve), LoriAnn (Bryan). Great grandchildren; Brandon, Kailin, Connor, Ryan. Corry leaves many nieces and nephews in Holland.
No prior calling hours. Corry will be laid to rest in Maplewood Court Mausoleum in White Haven Memorial Park in a private ceremony for the family only. In lieu of flowers, friends may make contributions to Lifetime Care 3111 Winton Rd S, Rochester, NY 14623 or to Alzheimer's Association Rochester & Finger Lakes Region Chapter 435 E Henrietta Rd, Rochester, NY 14620 in memory of Corry.
The family would like to express their sincere thanks and gratitude of the staff of Hildebrandt Hospice for the care and love they provided their Mom. A celebration of life for Fransicus and Corry will be held in the near future.
