Pat is survived by his son, Daniel of Bangkok, Thailand; his wife, Margaret Corbin; His brother, Art, and many nieces and nephews.
Pat was curious, kind, creative, inventive, generous, forward-thinking and a gentleman.
As young men, Pat and his brothers designed and built a 2-man submarine. He was then self-employed in Rochester and later on the Mississippi, River doing dredge exploring. Returning to Rochester he was employed by Graham Manufacturing in Research and Development. While there he toured the world and created several patents for the company.
Pat's passion has been antique autos and is well known as an expert on 1932 Fords. The historic development of automobile engines and other auto mechanics lead him to study of the development of spark plugs. He has written, lectured and displayed his findings nationally and in Europe.
Pat believed cars were made to be driven and drove his well-known '32 Fordor over 120,000 miles. His favorite times were "breakdowns" when he would have to 'get out and get under!' He was always there to help a fellow driver who needed help, a part or a roadside tip.
Pat served on the national Early Ford V-8 Club board of directors. He served on the board of his regional group as President and treasurer several times and most recently until he was hospitalized in March 2020.
Pat was cared for at his home in hospice with his son, Dan and his wife, Margaret. Friends continued to work on his last '32 Ford until he met his personal goals. During his final bout with cancer he has received hundreds of messages, letters and gifts from friends and those who remember his kindnesses. He is donating his literature, research and spark plug collection to the Early Ford V8 Foundation museum in Auburn, Indiana.
