Rochester: Passed peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family, Saturday, October 30, 2010 at age 45. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Dorothy (Brandon); father and mother, John and Joan Powers; brothers & sisters, Tom (Kathy), Patricia (Mark Meyer), Susan (Alan) Swanson, David (Colleen), and Sharon Hughes; brothers-in-law & sisters-in-law, David (Denise), Karl (Kathy), Paul (Linda), Ed (Christy) Brandon, and Eileen (RJ) Laure; 42 nieces & nephews, especially Joey and Michael Laure, Briana Brandon and Kristy (Brian) Obark. Predeceased by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Howard and Dorothy Brandon.
Daniel was an Army Veteran who served in Desert Storm.
The family wishes to extend a special thank-you to the staff at Wilmot Cancer Center, especially Dr. Hezel, Carol Lustig, NP, and special nurses, Chrissy and Terry for their loving care and support.
Family and friends may call Wednesday, 2-4 and 6-9 PM at the New Comer Funeral Home, 2636 Ridgeway Ave. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, 11 AM at Holy Cross Church, 4492 Lake Ave. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Mercy Flight, 2420 Brickyard Road, Canandaigua, New York 14424 or Holy Cross Church Memorial Fund, 4492 Lake Avenue, Rochester, New York 14612 in Daniel's memory.
