David D. Doggett

Doggett, David D. Rochester/Albion:

64, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at home. David was born on July 31, 1952 in Rochester, NY and attended Rochester schools. He graduated from Vincennes University in Indiana. Following college, David lived and worked in Hawaii, living his dream. He eventually moved back to Rochester to be near his family. He then spent 30 years working for the Rochester school district as a bus driver. He spent countless hours for many years running the annual bus rodeo and helping to raise money. David was the kindest soul with a heart of gold. He was always the first person there to help out in any way.

David was a brother to his sister, Ginny, and to his brothers, Ned and Allen. He was also the best uncle, cousin and caregiver to so many. No matter who you were, he made you feel like the most important person. He never forgot a birthday, holiday or special event. There was always a card from Uncle Dave. He was especially proud of his home and was enjoying his retirement, always working on numerous projects. He cared deeply for his animals, two cats and most recently a black lab mix, Buddy. David will be greatly missed by his family and friends but he will be remembered happily.

A Service will be held 11 AM Saturday, March 11, 2017 at New Comer Funeral Home, 2636 Ridgeway Ave., Rochester, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations in David's name may be made to The Humane Society at Lollypop Farm, 99 Victor Rd., Fairport, NY 14450.
